Legal Grounds for Data Processing

Under Article 5 of the KVKK, the legal grounds for the data processed are: necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract; necessity for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligation; the legitimate interest of the data controller; and, where required, the explicit consent of the data subject.

• iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check: Temporary text transfer for plagiarism screening.
• Google Analytics: Anonymous website analytics data.
• Polylang and WordPress plugins: Multilingual content and the technical infrastructure of the site.

Important. Data is shared only to the extent required by publishing processes and only with contracted third parties. Submitted texts and reviewer reports are not transferred to open (non-contracted) artificial intelligence or cloud platforms.

• Technical cookies: Necessary for session management and language selection.
• Analytical cookies: Anonymous statistics via Google Analytics.
• Third-party cookies: Limited use for the Polylang multilingual infrastructure. For details, the privacy policy of the relevant provider should be consulted.

Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)
