This Privacy Policy explains the principles governing the processing of personal data collected through the website of Cedid (https://cediddergi.com) and in its publication processes. The policy has been prepared within the framework of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the related legislation.

Legal Grounds for Data Processing
Under Article 5 of the KVKK, the legal grounds for the data processed are: necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract; necessity for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligation; the legitimate interest of the data controller; and, where required, the explicit consent of the data subject.

Data Security
Personal data is protected by the necessary technical and administrative measures pursuant to Article 12 of the KVKK. These measures include SSL encryption, access authorisation, regular backup, session control and staff confidentiality undertakings.
Transfer to Third Parties
Personal data may be shared with the following third parties to the extent required by publishing processes:
- Crossref: DOI assignment and metadata transfer.
- iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check: Temporary text transfer for plagiarism screening.
- Google Analytics: Anonymous website analytics data.
- Polylang and WordPress plugins: Multilingual content and the technical infrastructure of the site.
Important. Data is shared only to the extent required by publishing processes and only with contracted third parties. Submitted texts and reviewer reports are not transferred to open (non-contracted) artificial intelligence or cloud platforms.
Cookie Policy
- Technical cookies: Necessary for session management and language selection.
- Analytical cookies: Anonymous statistics via Google Analytics.
- Third-party cookies: Limited use for the Polylang multilingual infrastructure. For details, the privacy policy of the relevant provider should be consulted.
Consent for the use of cookies is obtained through the banner displayed on entry to the site. Users may delete or restrict cookies at any time through their browser settings.
Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)
As a data subject you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose; learn the third parties to whom the data has been transferred; request the correction of incomplete or inaccurately processed data; request its erasure or destruction; object to a result arising against you from analysis by automated systems; and claim compensation for damage arising from processing contrary to the KVKK.
