Evaluation Processes
Editorial Evaluation
The editorial evaluation of a submitted study is completed within 40 days.
Peer Review Period
The peer review process takes approximately 1 to 3 months.
- A double-blind peer review system is carried out for the manuscripts submitted to the journal.
- Studies taken into the peer review process are sent to two independent reviewers from different institutions than the author, who are experts in the field. In case of disagreement, the opinion of a third reviewer is consulted.
- Reviewer reports are confidential. Authors do not know the reviewers, and reviewers do not know the authors.
- The author(s) must take into account the criticisms, suggestions, and correction requests of the reviewers and the editor-in-chief. They must explain the points they do not agree with along with their justifications.
- For the details of the peer review processes in Cedid, the Notes for Reviewers section can be consulted.
Editor-in-Chief’s Decision
Based on the reviewer reports, one of the following decisions is made:
- Acceptance of the study,
- Re-evaluation after revision,
- Rejection of the study.
Process of Accepted Studies for Publication
- The result is notified to the author via the ScholarOne Manuscript system.
- The revised study is examined by the editor-in-chief, and if approved, it is taken into the proofreading and redaction process.
- Proofreading notes are sent to the author, and when the process is completed, it is directed to design.
- The studies whose layout and design are completed are checked by the author for the last time.
- The studies are first published as OnlineFirst by assigning a DOI number, and then printed in the relevant issue.
Important Note: Studies that do not meet the criteria as a result of the editorial preliminary evaluation are notified of the decision that they cannot be included in the peer review process, along with the justification.
