1. General Principle

Cedid has adopted the principle of open access since its establishment. All published works are accessible immediately, permanently and free of charge through the journal website. To ensure the long-term preservation of works, a DOI is assigned to every published article and the journal archive is backed up regularly.

2. Version Policies

2.1 Published Version (Version of Record)

The final PDF, typeset by the publisher and assigned a DOI.

• Embargo period: None
• Licence: CC BY 4.0
• Copyright holder: Author(s)
• Archiving location: Journal website, the author’s personal website, institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories (SSRN, academia.edu, ResearchGate, ORCID, etc.)
• Attribution requirement: Full citation (author, title, journal name, volume/issue, page range, DOI)

2.2 Post-Review (Postprint / Accepted Manuscript)

The author’s draft that has completed peer review but has not undergone the journal’s typesetting process.

• Embargo period: None
• Licence: CC BY 4.0
• Copyright holder: Author(s)
• Archiving location: The author’s personal website, institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories
• Once a DOI has been assigned, linking to the publisher version is recommended.

2.3 Pre-Submission (Preprint)

Preprints are not accepted. Works shared on preprint servers or on any open platform prior to submission cannot be submitted to the journal. At the time of submission the work must be unpublished and not publicly disclosed.

3. Archiving Infrastructure

• DOI assignment: Applied to every published article through Crossref.
• Journal web archive: Regular backup and long-term preservation are provided.
• LOCKSS / CLOCKSS: Application to distributed preservation systems is planned once indexing processes are complete.
• OAI-PMH protocol: Implementation is planned.
• Institutional archiving: Authors may share every version in their personal and institutional repositories without any restriction.

4. Copyright and Attribution

Authors retain copyright in all versions. In the case of self-archiving, linking to the publisher version via the DOI and providing a full citation are expected. For details, see Copyright and Open Access Policy.
